Nigerians React As Crypto Trading Company Patricia, Relocates Headquarters to Europe

Nigerians have been reacting with mixed feelings following the recent announcement by crypto trading company Patricia, that the company has now relocated its headquarters to the Eastern European country of Estonia.

Many believe that this latest move by a key industry player is not unconnected with the recent ban on cryptocurrency-related activities by the Nigerian apex Bank. You will recall that the Central Bank of Nigeria recently enforced its anti-crypto policy after it ordered all Nigerian Banks and other financial institutions to henceforth close down every Bank account linked to cryptocurrency activities. A move many industry analysts described as rather harsh and totally uncalled for. Experts believe the apex Bank should have rather spearheaded an effort to regulate the sector rather than enforcing a total ban on it.
